2023 CNGBS Digital Factory Forum Concludes Successfully

On the afternoon of June 8, 2023, the Digital Empowerment Smart Factory Innovation Forum was grandly held at the North Hongqiao Greenland Platinum Hotel in Shanghai. This forum was guided by the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee and the Shanghai Jiading District People's Government. It was hosted by the Administrative Committee Office of Shanghai North Hongqiao Business District, the Jiangqiao Town People's Government of Jiading District, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, and the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Technology Association, among others. As one of the organizers, CNGBS showcased its robotic integration technology and intelligent digital factory solutions to attendees, sparking in-depth discussions on the future development direction of factories.

The forum aimed to promote communication and cooperation in the field of intelligent manufacturing and to explore the development trends and innovative applications of digital empowerment in smart factories.

Leading figures from various sectors gathered together, including representatives from key enterprises in Shanghai's AI industry, directly affiliated chambers of commerce under the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, industrial service organizations, universities, research institutes, as well as mainstream and industry media representatives, to jointly discuss the future development of digital-empowered smart factory innovation.

Subsequently, a leadership address session marked the beginning of the forum. Wang Lu, President of the Shanghai Metrology Association, and Gan Yongkang, Party Committee Secretary of Jiangqiao Town, Jiading District, attended the event and delivered speeches. Gan Yongkang stated that in the context of high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence and the digital economy embracing North Hongqiao, he sincerely hopes for more and better interaction with entrepreneur friends, technological talents, and individuals from the venture capital and startup communities to jointly promote technological innovation, AI, and digital economic development.

Wang Lu emphasized that the Shanghai Metrology Association places great importance on the development of AI digital technology and actively promotes the formulation of relevant policies and measures. The Association will continue to increase support for AI digital technology, encourage enterprises to boost R&D investment, cultivate more AI talent, promote the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, initiate the era of digital intelligence with precise measurement, and provide strong guarantees for the rapid development of the AI digitalization industry.

The forum focused on digital industrial upgrade. Xu Chunwei, General Manager of North Hongqiao Economic City, gave an introduction to the business district's situation. Collaborating with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, the Jiangqiao Town People's Government of Jiading District, and the CNGBS Research Institute, they jointly developed a high-level digital industry talent service base for the North Hongqiao Business District. This base provides support for the cultivation of professional technical talent, R&D innovation, and project cooperation for the digital industry. Through synergistic cooperation, the CNGBS Research Institute and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering will become important platforms for attracting and cultivating high-level digital talent, driving the development and upgrade of the digital industry, and further enhancing competitiveness and influence in the digital economy field.

Simultaneously, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens, CNGBS, the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Technology Association, and Shanghai Jiangqiao Town jointly established the North Hongqiao Digital Smart Factory Innovation Base. This base aims to promote the research, development, and application of digital factory technology, providing enterprises with advanced digital factory solutions and support services to assist them in achieving digital transformation and smart manufacturing upgrades.

The Digital Smart Factory Innovation Base will integrate resources from all parties, build an innovation platform, conduct technical research and application demonstrations, cultivate talent, promote industry-academia-research collaboration, and facilitate the promotion and application of digital factory technology, contributing to the innovative development of China's manufacturing industry. This cooperative initiative will bring more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable production models to enterprises, propelling Chinese manufacturing towards a new stage of intelligence and high-quality development.

Subsequently, North Hongqiao Economic City, Suzhou Showtop, Zhejiang Ai Fusi, Shanghai Zhilai, Jiangxi Space Robotics, Suzhou Pangolin, Shenzhen Dazu Robotics, and Beijing OrionStar jointly signed a cooperation agreement for the North Hongqiao Business District Digital Industry Project. This collaboration will inject new momentum into the development of the digital industry in Jiading District. The enterprises will join hands to cooperatively research and develop innovative products, advance the application of digital manufacturing technology, and build a first-class digital industry base within the North Hongqiao Business District. This signing marks a further integration and development of the digital industry, providing strong support for China's economic transformation and smart manufacturing, promoting the rapid development of the digital economy, and creating a more prosperous business environment for the future.
